Where there is grace there will be conflict
J. C. Ryle, Holiness
Where there is grace there will be conflict. The believer is a soldier. There is no holiness without a warfare. Saved souls will always be found to have fought a fight.
J. C. Ryle, Holiness (1879)
J. C. Ryle (1816–1900) was the first Anglican Bishop of Liverpool. Holiness is his best-known book.
